Participating in Scouting for Food serves your community. When your unit signs up you are supporting your neighbors who may be experiencing food insecurity.
There are numerous food banks within our Council and many ways your Unit can help.
Below is a partial list of food banks around the Council.
Scouting for Food is a massive Council wide food drive. This community service project provides units with the opportunity to help those within their own community who may be facing food insecurity.
Some food banks have stopped collecting physical donations, so make sure to check to make sure that your chosen food bank or pantry can accept your non-perishable donations.
Throughout the month of May 2026, units and Scouts are encouraged to participate in the Scouting for Food drive in the way that suits them best.
Set a goal to collect at least 250 items for a local food bank.
Create an inter unit challenge where Dens or Patrols compete to collect the most food.
Hold a food drive at a grocery store.
Contact the manager early to reserve your spot.
All Scouts who participate will receive a special Scouting for Food patch.
Sign up to participate and then log your results in the forms below.
