The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
The North Cascades District has a rich history of Scouting and is proud to serve the families of four counties. The peoples of these counties are diverse from the Naval Air Station on Whidbey Island to the lumber jacks of Skagit Valley. We serve the families of the dairy farms of Lynden to the fishing community of Friday Harbor. Our district takes its name from the mighty mountains that contain the most rugged national park in our state. For those of us that call the North Cascades home there is no where better place to raise a family, grow up, or be a SCOUT!

Veteran’s Day Service Project
Boy Scouts from Troop 4019 honored U.S. military veterans at the Bayview Cemetery Saturday, Nov. 11. After cleaning headstones of those who’d served as far back as the Spanish-American war, the scouts raised flags, read poems and honored living veterans in a ceremony at the cemetery’s memorial for veterans.
