Mount Baker Council’s 2027 Philmont contingent will unite Scouts from around our council for an unforgettable 12‑day trek across New Mexico’s breathtaking backcountry. The crew will tackle high‑altitude trails, face rugged terrain, and engage in Philmont’s renowned programs—such as rock climbing, conservation service, and frontier life demonstrations. Pre‑departure training in the Council provides essential skills in backpacking, wilderness first aid, and Leave No Trace ethics. Throughout the trek, participants forge stronger leadership abilities, teamwork, and self‑confidence.
